Colossians 1:22-23...“Once you were alienated and hostile in your minds because of your evil actions. But now He has reconciled you by His physical body through His death, to present you holy, faultless, and blameless before Him— if indeed you remain grounded & steadfast in the faith and are not shifted away from the hope of the gospel that you heard.”

Hebrews 6:4-6...“For it is impossible, in the case of those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, and have shared in the Holy Spirit, and have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the age to come, and then have fallen away, to restore them again to repentance, since they are crucifying once again the Son of God to their own harm and holding him up to contempt.”

Sermon In A Sentence: It is not enough to adhere to a defense of the faith. Life in Christ requires Spirit-led disciplines to make advances in our faith.

Colossians 2:1-5...“For I want you to know how great a struggle I have for you and for those at Laodicea and for all who have not seen me face to face, that their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, to reach all the riches of full assurance of understanding and the knowledge of God's mystery, which is Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. I say this in order that no one may delude you with plausible arguments. For though I am absent in body, yet I am with you in spirit, rejoicing to see your good order and the firmness of your faith in Christ.”

Colossians 2:6-7...“Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving”

To Receive Jesus Christ As Lord Means:
-We make Him the object of our walk
-We take root deeply in Him
-We are being built up in Him
-We become established in the faith
-We live out what we are taught
-We abound in thanksgiving

1 Corinthians 6:19-20...“Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body”

Colossians 2:8...“Be careful that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deceit based on human tradition, based on the elemental forces of the world, and not based on Christ.””

Colossians 3...
-Verse 8: “PUT AWAY anger, wrath, malice, slander, and filthy language from your mouth…”
-Verse 12: “PUT ON heartfelt compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience…”

1 John 2:15-17..."Do not love the world or the things that belong to the world…”

Matthew 28:18-20...“Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations…”
