Luke 12:13-21...Watch out and be on guard against all greed because one’s life is not in the abundance of his possessions.
Luke 12:13-21...Greed is the hoarding of wealth and possessions that God gives us to bless others with. In other words: greed is using up on self what God has given to advance his kingdom.
Luke 12:13-21...Watch yourself so you aren’t overtaken by greed, for your life is not about getting stuff.
Luke 12:13-21...Pointers Jesus gives so that we are not overtaken by greed:
-We are to acknowledge that all we are and have are gifts of God’s grace and mercy
-We are to rely on God and trust Him to provide for our daily needs.
-We are to remember that God created us eternal beings and we will not carry any created things into the afterlife
Luke 12:13-21...Watch yourself so you aren’t overtaken by greed, for your life is not about getting stuff.
Luke 12:13-21...Jesus warns us that God calls the one who stores up earthly treasures which will rot and rust, and need to be left behind– a fool because he is not rich toward God.
Luke 12:33-34...Take your worldly possessions and convert them into heavenly treasure that will last forever.
Luke 12:33-34...Pointers Jesus gives us to be rich toward God:
-We are to sell our possessions and give the proceeds to the poor
-We are to make heavenly money bags for ourselves.
-We are to direct our hearts by where our treasure is kept.
