February 14, 2021 Pastor: Terry Embke Series: Ephesians - Finding Our True Identity

Topic: Prayer Passage: Ephesians 6:18–20

021421- "How Should We Pray?" Ephesians 6:18-20. As Followers Of Jesus We Must Recognize The Reality That:We Are In A Battle, We Battle Against Evil Satanic Powers, We Do Not Battle Against Flesh & Blood, We Stand Against The Evil By God’s Strength. Put On The Whole Armor Of God As You Stand Against Satan’s Tactics:Stand In The Truth Of Christ,Stand In The Righteousness Of Christ, Stand In The Peace Of Christ, Take Up The Shield Of Faith , Take Up The Helmet Of Salvation, Take Up The Sword Of The Spirit. Ephesians 6:18-20 “Pray at all times in the Spirit with every prayer and request, and stay alert in this with all perseverance and intercession for all the saints. Pray also for me, that the message may be given to me when I open my mouth to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel. For this I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I might be bold enough in Him to speak as I should.” Our Sermon In A Sentence:It Is Only After You’ve Put On The Armor Of God That You’ll Be Able To Pray Effectively. How Should We Pray? Pray At All Times (v.18), Pray In The Spirit (v.18), Pray For All The Saints (v.18), Pray For Boldness To Witness (v.19-20). Romans 8:26 “In the same way the Spirit also joins to help in our weakness, because we do not know what to pray for as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with unspoken groanings.”
