Colossians 1:21-22...“And you, who once were alienated and hostile in mind, doing evil deeds, he has now reconciled in his body of flesh by his death, in order to present you holy and blameless and above reproach before him”

Colossians 2:13...“And you, who were dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses”

God Transforms Your Life Spiritually As You: (3:1-4)
-Seek the things that are above V.1
-Set your mind on things that are above V.2
-Live the reality that death is behind you V.3
-Live the reality of Christ’s return for you V.4

Colossians 3:17...“And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”

Colossians 3:17-18...“And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. Wives, submit to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord”

Wives, Submit To Your Husbands:
-God’s design is always the wisest & best
-God intends to sanctify our homes also
-God is the wife’s ultimate authority
-God uses marriage to display Christ

Genesis 2:24...“Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh”

That Word “Submit”:
-It’s “hupotasso” in the original Greek language
-It was: “a voluntary attitude of giving in, assuming responsibility & carrying a burden”

Complementarianism:
-Husband has primary leadership role & the wife a complementary, or support role
-Husband & wife are equal in essence, but functionally different
-Husbands & wives were created by God to complement one another

Luke 2:51...“And He (Jesus) went down with them (his parents) and came to Nazareth and was submissive to them”

Egalitarianism:
-Both genders have equal roles in the family and the church
-Male leadership in the home & church was not created by God

Wives, Submit To Your Husbands:
