112121- “God Is Rich In Mercy” Ephesians 2:1-6. Psalm 107:1 “O give thanks unto the LORD, for He is good; for His mercy endures forever.”

Ephesians 2:4,1,5 “But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love that He had for us.” “And you were dead in your trespasses and sins.” “…made us alive with the Messiah even though we were dead in trespasses…”

Sermon In A Sentence:It is only because God is love, grace, and rich in mercy that He willingly chooses to raise to life those who were spiritually dead.

Because Of God’s Great Love For Us:
-He tells us that we are spiritually dead in our trespasses & sins (v.1-3)
-He makes us alive; and seats us in heaven with Jesus (v.5-6)
-He does this for us because He is rich in mercy (v.4)

Mercy Is: “God withholding from us what we rightly deserve”

Ephesians 2:1-3 “And you were dead in your trespasses and sins in which you previously walked according to the ways of this world, according to the ruler who exercises authority over the lower heavens, the spirit now working in the disobedient. We too all previously lived among them in our fleshly desires, carrying out the inclinations of our flesh and thoughts, and we were by nature children under wrath as the others were also.”

Matthew 23:27-28 “You are like whitewashed tombs, which appear beautiful on the outside, but inside are full of dead men’s bones and every impurity. In the same way, on the outside you seem righteous to people, but inside you are full of hypocrisy
and lawlessness.”

Ephesians 2:5-6 “(God) made us alive with the Messiah even though we were dead in trespasses. You are saved by grace! Together with Christ Jesus He also raised us up and seated us in the heavens.”

Ephesians 2:4 “But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love that He had for us.”

Psalm 107:1 “O give thanks unto the LORD, for He is good; for His mercy endures forever.”
