101721- “Jesus: Friend Of Sinners” John 15:13-16. “No one has greater love than this, that someone would lay down his life for his friends. You are My friends if you do what I command you. I do not call you slaves anymore, because a slave doesn’t know what his master is doing. I have called you friends, because I have made known to you everything I have heard from My Father. You did not choose Me, but I chose you. I appointed you that you should go out and produce fruit and that your fruit should remain, so that whatever you ask the Father in My name, He will give you” -John 15:13-16.

Sermon In A Sentence:Because Jesus is the best friend the world has ever known, we ought to pursue His friendship with maximum intensity.

“I have this against you: You have abandoned the love
you had at first.” -Revelation 2:4.

Pursue Friendship With Jesus Because:
-He pursues friendship with sinners
-He gave His life for His friends
-He deserves our loyal obedience
-He tells us everything we need to know
-He chose us to produce fruit

“God proves His own love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us! Much more then, since we have now been declared righteous by His blood, we will be saved through Him from wrath. For if, while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, then how much more, having been reconciled, will we be saved by His life” -Romans 5:8-10.

“‘These are My words that I spoke to you while I was still with you—that everything written about Me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets, and the Psalms must be fulfilled.’ Then He opened their minds to understand the Scriptures” -Luke 24:44-45.
