082921- "Acceptable Worship" Hebrews 12:28-29. “Therefore let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and thus let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe, for our God is a consuming fire”

The Greek Word:“latreuo”
-“service for wages”
-“service without wages”
-“serving their gods or worship”
-In the N.T.– “to serve God in a spirit of worship”

The Sermon In A Sentence:Only when we are genuinely grateful that God is king of our lives can we offer Him acceptable worship.

Job 1:20-22 “Then Job arose and tore his robe and shaved his head and fell on the ground and worshiped. And he said, ‘Naked I came from my mother's womb, and naked shall I return. The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.’ In all this Job did not sin or charge God with wrong.”

Be Grateful; And, Worship God:
-Because of His unshakeable kingdom.
-Acceptably, with reverence.
-Acceptably, with awe.
-Because He is a consuming fire.
