Our Sermon In A Sentence:Living a life of a faithful follower of Jesus will not protect you from being falsely accused!
The Accusations Against Paul:
He was a revolutionary & an agitator (v.5a)
He was the radical ringleader of a religious sect (v.5b)
He was guilty of desecrating the Jewish Temple (v.6)
Acts 24:10“When the governor motioned to him to speak, Paul replied:Because I know you have been a judge of this nation for many years, I am glad to offer my defense in what concerns me."
Paul Denies The Accusations:
He didn’t have the time necessary to form a rebellion (v.11-13)
He wasn’t part of a cult! “The Way” followed Scripture (v.14-15)
He was only in the Temple to worship as any good Jew (v.16-19)
The Apostle Paul’s Confession:
I Worship My Father’s God According To The Way
I Believe Everything In Scripture
I Hope In The Resurrection
I Nurture A Clear Conscience Toward God & Men
Acts 20:26 “Therefore I testify to you this day that I am innocent of everyone’s blood, for I did not shrink back from declaring to you the whole plan of God.”
