It was in the darkness of that night that Jesus came to Paul and stood by him. Acts 23:11 “The following night, the Lord stood by him and said, “Have courage! For as you have testified about Me in Jerusalem, so you must also testify in Rome.” Jesus knew where Paul was; He had not lost sight of Paul because he was in jail.
