041121- “God’s Sovereignty And Providence” Acts 23:11-35. It was in the darkness of that night when the fears came upon Paul; when his trust in God seemed to falter; when he worried about what God was going to do and if he was going to make it. It was in the darkness of that night that Jesus came to Paul and stood by him. Acts 23:11 “The following night, the Lord stood by him and said, “Have courage! For as you have testified about Me in Jerusalem, so you must also testify in Rome.” Jesus knew where Paul was; He had not lost sight of Paul because he was in jail. Our Sermon In A Sentence: Scripture Reveals That God’s Providential Care Is Working Out His Sovereign Plan In Every Situation You Find Yourself. In The Conspiracy Against Paul, He Experiences:God’s Encouragement (v.11a)God’s Sovereign Plan (v.11b)God’s Providential Care (v.12-35) Sovereignty Is:“The quality or state of having supreme, absolute power or authority.” Providence Is:“The governance of God by which He, with wisdom & love, cares for & directs all things according to His will.” Paul was alone, but he wasn’t alone; if everyone else forsook him, Jesus was enough. Better to be in jail with the Lord than to be in heaven without him.
