011021-"Children and Their Parents" - Ephesians 6:1-4. Ephesians 2:1 “And you were dead in your trespasses and sins.” Relationships Notorious For Conflict: Husbands & Wives (5:22-33), Parents & Children (6:1-4), Management & Labor (6:5-9). Ephesians 6:1-4 “Children, obey your parents as you would the Lord, because this is right. Honor your father and mother, which is the first commandment with a promise, so that it may go well with you and that you may have a long life in the land. Fathers, don’t stir up anger in your children, but bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.” Our Sermon In A Sentence: The Home That Honors God Is One In Which Both Parents & Children Live In Submission To Their God Ordained Role. Ephesians 5:21 “Submitting to one another in the fear of Christ.” What Submission In The Parent-Child Relationship Looks Like: For Children: (vs. 1-3) Obey Your Parents, Honor Your Father & Mother, There Is A Personal Incentive. For Parents: (v.4) Fathers—Don’t Provoke Anger, Fathers—Take Spiritual Leadership.
